IPL Photofacial Treatments

IPL Photofacial is the treatment of choice when you have concerns ranging from redness, light acne scars and rosacea to broken capillaries and hyperpigmentation. In South Florida, skin damage is heightened due to consistent exposure to the sun. As we age, the damage becomes apparent through dark or irregular pigmentation spots on the skin – called solar lentigenes – which are commonly seen on the face, arms, hands, shoulders and chest. Don’t let these spots detract from your natural skin’s beauty!

How Does IPL Photofacial Treatment Work?

IPL Photofacial is the treatment of choice when you have concerns ranging from redness, light acne scars and rosacea to broken capillaries and hyperpigmentation. In South Florida, skin damage is heightened due to consistent exposure to the sun. As we age, the damage becomes apparent through dark or irregular pigmentation spots on the skin – called solar lentigenes – which are commonly seen on the face, arms, hands, shoulders and chest. Don’t let these spots detract from your natural skin’s beauty!

IPL Photofacial uses a non-ablative laser that has been carefully calibrated to seek out certain skin pigmentations – redness, darker discolored patches or dark spots from acne scarring. With each snap of the laser, the IPL Photofacial infiltrates deep below the skin’s surface to correct the issues at the source.

F.A.Q.s

Will the procedure be painful?

The procedure feels like the mild snapping of rubber bands against your skin, similar to laser hair removal technology.

How many treatments are required?

For effective reduction of redness, sun spots and old acne scars, a patient will most likely need multiple IPL Photofacial treatments. The Photofacial truly establishes a notable difference in the patient’s skin over time as the skin continues to improve for some time after the actual IPL treatment.

Will there be any downtime?

There is very little to no downtime following an IPL Photofacial, and the patient is free to resume all daily activities. Each treatment is conveniently quick and lasts approximately fifteen to twenty minutes from start to finish. For this reason, many patients are able to incorporate IPL Photofacial into their lives by getting treatments during their lunch hour!

Will there be any side effects?

The most common side effect of IPL Photofacial treatments is slight redness of the treated area; however, this can easily be covered up with liquid foundation, powder or a concealer until the redness subsides shortly after the treatment.

How can I make sure results last?
