Juvederm Volbella®

Juvéderm Volbella® is the latest advancement in the Juvéderm® range of facial fillers. It is an FDA-approved injection used to increase lip fullness and soften the appearance of “smoker’s lines” around the mouth. It has been specifically developed as a smooth gel to give a soft, natural look. Unlike other fillers, Volbella® blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid. This provides patients with longer-lasting, more natural results, as well as with less water absorption (and therefore less swelling).

How many treatments will be necessary?

Juvederm Volbella® can be administered all in a single, comfortable treatment.

Will the procedure be painful?

The smooth consistency of Juvéderm Volbella® allows Dr. Balshi to administer it easily and smoothly with an ultra-fine needle. It also contains 0.3% Lidocaine to reduce injection pain for a more comfortable experience.

How long will my results last?

Volbella® has been found to effectively increase lip fullness and soften the appearance of lines around the mouth in a majority of subjects through one year.

Will there be any side effects?

After injection, you may experience some redness, minimal swelling, or bruising at the injection site, which should not last more than a week. You should not wear makeup for the first 12 hours. It is also wise to avoid the sun or saunas for 2 weeks following injections.
